According to legend, a mysterious creature known to locals as the Howler, roamed the dark remote forests of the Ozark Mountains. As the story goes, early settlers in the area would hear a high pitched howl in the late hours of the night. Sightings from that time described the creature as being the size of a bear that walked upright with a thick stocky body, orange fur, and prominent horns.

There are those today that say the Howler is still out there, awakening the wild nature in those who hear its howl...

Even if you don’t ride, it’s nestled back in a beautiful area that would be great for a day hike or a lunch in the woods.

    My one regret was not allowing myself enough time, as I promised the kids a trip to silver dollar city on the same day. I will be back!

Great experience for our family of five. 11, 15, 19, my wife and myself at age 52. Such a great time and the people made all the difference! Cannot wait to visit again.
